i love this dutch farmhouse with a very vintage 70’s vibe recently featured on vtwonen. there was an old barn on the property that the couple had planned to update using the hayloft as additional living space, but it was in such bad shape it couldn’t be saved. the next best thing was to gut the space and recreate it from the inside out — repurposing the old barn siding into this funky wall treatment that reminds me of piet hein eek’s scrapwood wallpaper. pair that cool wall with the mustard sofa and it’s like we’ve stepped back in time to some place you might find in woodstock with joni mitchell playing on the turntable. but then there’s modern accents like the eames chair and mid-century modern shelving that add an unexpected and clever update. for the full home tour, visit vtwonen.
